Jaggedness appears in many forms; the serrated edge of a knife, the snarling teeth of a wolf, the look in your eye when someone bumps into you and doesn’t apologise. Even some words and the tone with which they are said. These are the places where we expect jaggedness.
But suddenly striking between your ribs while curled on the sofa in the arms of the one you love, is not.
